Out of Bounds

Beyond all boundary fences and walls.
The short game/practice area (right of the 1st Tee) demarcated by white lines and/or stakes.
The Driving Range Area to the right of both the 17th & 18th fairways demarcated by white lines and/or white stakes.
The clubhouse area demarcated by white markings on the brickwork surrounding the clubhouse extending to the Driving Range as well as the short game practice area (right of 1st Tee) as indicated by white stakes.

Abnormal Course Conditions Including Immovable Obstructions (Rule 16)

If a player has interference for swing or stance from the following conditions they may take Free Relief under Rule 16 by dropping ball within a 1 club length area from the Nearest Point of full relief which is not nearer to the hole.

  • All areas ringed in white paint. All areas that are currently being worked on to be treated as GUR (Including the newly planted grass areas).
  • All artificially surfaced roads and paths.
  • Staked trees identified by a white stake.

Note: By definition, all artificially surfaced cart paths, burrowing animal holes, sprinkler heads, control boxes, and other fixtures that are part of the irrigation systems are immovable obstructions.

Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Greens

Model Local Rule F-5 is modified as follows:
The player has an additional option to take relief when immovable obstructions are on or close to the putting green and on the player’s line of play:

Ball in General Area: The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b if an immovable obstruction is on the line of play within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball and where both the ball and the obstruction are in part of the General Area cut to fairway height or less.

Complete relief must be taken which includes both physical and line of play interference.

Penalty Areas

The Burn, all dams, and all drainage ditches demarcated by red stakes/red lines.

Distance Markers

Distance markers on fairways are measured in meters to the front edge of the greens. Distance markers on tees are measured in meters to the front edge of the green and pin sheet distances will then apply.

Allocation of Strokes for +Handicaps

+1 – Hole 8, Par 5, Stroke 15

+2 – Hole 3, Par 5, Stroke 13

+3 – Hole 10, Par 5, Stroke 12

+4 – Hole 14, Par 5, Stroke 8

+5 – Hole 18, Par 4, Stroke 18

Follow highest remaining strokes and work down for any further + strokes.
